We are rolling right on by our first full week with the new arrivals.
We were given some small orphaned ducklings that were found in a very unsafe spot where the momma duck had been hit by a vehicle and did not make it. Since these people knew we already have our own pet duckies they thought we would be a good place. . . that is entirely fair since we do have a lot experience with all kinds of different animals both wild and domestic.
In the attempt to be law abiding we reached out to multiple rehabilitation centers all the way to the state line and were only met with the answer “NO”. I felt like a broken record explaining this situation to anyone who would answer my calls. The only excuse every single time was . . .from what i got out of it was that “the recent outbreak in avian flu hurt a lot of birds in the valley and they are going to protect what they already have and would not take in these precious teeny babies”. We asked if they had any other resources or at least any advice for help to get these ducklings something better than what we have. . . We were told no again. . . . Dead End. . or not.
The bright side is that every facility we contacted was willing to back us up for this current “case” but they did all insist on going for certifications to make this easier in the future to do on our own, and so we decided that is exactly what we are going to do.
We are opening our doors to small and wild animals in need as of July 2026

We are now at 6 days with these tiny little babies and they are growing so fast pin feathers are starting to show so we will be working on a new bigger enclosure to keep them in as natural of a habitat as we possibly can for having limited resources.
If anyone is willing to donate and help us get these babies everything they can possibly need to make this work until we can get to a successful release
We will be posting a donation link from our homemade items sale page by the end of the day(9:00pm) Monday July 6th 2026 we will also be accepting donations in person or our Facebook page. . Please add memo that states “wildlife rehabilitation”
