Since one of the goals for OHH was to keep more of a old fashion style for our little market. We do alot of planning on paper cuz sometimes the computer makes me crazy. This will be very very time consuming to prep for and build so we technically have to start now to reach this massive goal within our set time frame. The Grand opening is finally set on the calendar.
Welcome to OHH FARM
- 1. Our new “OHH Farm” is going to be a majority(80%)self sustaining mini farm that will sit on roughly 10 acres and provide fresh produce and other farm products via market style stand. This farm will also provide a summer camp for students, a spring and fall airBnB type arrangement and we will also be hosting a wide variety of classes that focus on everything farm and city from the easy work to baking and the other hard stuff. This farm will also provided a variety of greenhouses that will allow us to have fresh harvested montana grown vegetables (november to may) with out having to wait for our short growing season to provide(summer to early fall). This farm will also house a small science lab that does not work with hazardous materials(strictly research).
- We do not have many if any options in our great state that are quite like this, We do not have a year round option to plant and harvest garden produce so we feel it is a much needed amenity in this area, since indoor growing setups are not common due to how much space is needed inside the home to attempt similar projects.
- Our goal is to provide a new small artisan market that allows visitors to come in and harvest what they want/need instead of excess or just barely not enough per grocery store packaging(not to mention the ridiculous prices in our area). Our little farm will also dedicate time to provide hosting location for various MT activities such as fundraising events, we will also be getting fully licensed to be able to help as much as possible with our local programs like F.W.P., helping to rescue, rehabilitate and release wild animals, the list is way too long to add here but we will be working with as many organizations as possible in hopes to make this an even better place.
- What we will be doing is working with students to help them learn basic farm care, gardening, animal care and daily general farm upkeep. We will be adding a business auditing and structural development service to our online page, as well as getting set up with various needed amenities for our area. For the duration of this project we will be regularly selling baked goods, fresh produce jellies, syrups and other various products created at the farm.
- We will not operate any of our projects under full scale capacity. We will not mass produce any of our products or recipes. We will not operate under or with any corporation(We are O.H.H. and nothing else).
- In order to acquire the funds to buy and build OHH farm, we will be making and selling all products that we create on our OHH micro homestead. We will offer custom bakery orders as well as small orders for other farm products. We will provide a small self serve pop up stand at our main office location in Lewistown. The official Grand opening for this new farm is set for Saturday March 23, 2030 the party will “in theory” start at 11:00 a.m this will mean we have reached all of our set goals and have complete success.
- Since we are starting small our main income will be what we can earn by making and selling products from the micro homestead locations and other various booked catering events. We do have a privately listed board to create and assist with policy and procedures, seated on this board of OHH project are 14 members with extensive backgrounds in the many projects that we will take part in.

This is how we plan our biggest projects. Pencils, pens, some graph paper and usually a badly drawn picture . This is not perfect to scale so you will have to forgive that but this is our goal.
Since this is an “Us” project, we want a little help, The first sketch is never perfect but it’s a start. If you are interested in sharing, Please send in your ideas of how we should perfect this mini farm project. Send us an email: ourhobbyhut@yahoo.com
Keep up with our blog to watch our progress as we work through this huge project!!!
