New steps

We have had a little too much excitement around here lately to keep up at the moment but here soon I will be posting more information relevant to what we are now doing.  . . .in the last several weeks we have been working out a ton of new plans for our upcoming adventures and since its only on paper for now we won’t go into that right now but  it is coming real fast since summer is already here so get ready.

Today we had someone bring us 3 very tiny mallard ducklings that were found by the highway, where the momma duck had been hit by a vehicle. . .we rushed to get a temporary set up so they have a safe place to be until we can get a better plan in the morning. .

I am absolutely disgusted that someone in our area saw what they did to that animal and didnt bother to care. .. . You will never convince me that the driver of that vehicle didnt notice hitting a full grown duck knowing where she was located.  . .we now have these babies and are going to do everything possible to get them correctly rehabilitated and back into their natural habitat as soon as possible.

We have reached out to several places and got dead end answers with low chance of perfect rehabilitation back into the wild. It was a sad answer but that does not mean giving up hope . . It means wing it and work harder to make it happen.

We do not have the resources in our community that provide what these precious animals need and are working to change that

If anyone can share any advice with us about how to handle this the best way possible please reach out. .
