Soap ???

So in my half asleep stupor last night after finishing a new soap batch. . . I realized I have a serious question that I want your answer to !!

When you use a cooking pot to make soap, Do you need to add soap(Dawn in case our ducks get greasy) to the dish when you go to clean it, or do you just use the left over soap that has hardened in the dish you used ???

This is a serious question . . .funny but genuine so let us know.
