Begining with Chaos

Well 2025 is so far off to a rough start. . . .or maybe the right word would be chaotic.

Our weather here in central MT is absolutley yuckie and cold, not to mention negative degree temperatures plus the 6 foot snow drifts in our own yard and many other yards but. . . .Also my favorite time of year beecause of. . . . . “The lull”.

“The Lull” is a huge part of our entire year here at OHH, Our Hobby Hut,  During this time we talk about and make all of our plans for the  entire year(until our next lull for 25-26), because of the yuckie snowy ridiculously cold weather we hang out strictly indoors and the kids absolutley do not leave the warm house.

The kitchen is firing up for the #2025 season and i am excited to say we have some goodies coming up for our debut at festival.

I decided to reopen the old jewerly box that I created long before OHH turned into somthing real. . . .I have new and better ideas now!

The search for another hive location is just around the corner. more than one location should be able to give me a better honey supply as well as to see what areas hives are located where and how different the medicinal properties might be.

The garden projects will be starting very very soon, also just around the corner, depending on if the snow covering my dirt mound melts before the new compost dirt shipment shows up. . . . or not.

We did have to start some german chamomile seeds very, very early due to a storage mishap at the shop, a few were spilled and put into an empty storage tank for the tadpoles from frogwarts(Frogwarts school of ribbets).

When i get back to the shop this week, I will be transfering them from the storage tank to small planter cups until our ground turns from alaska to baby plant friendly.
